Get the slimmer, tighter profile you desire with the newest, innovative type of liposuction!
Patients are sedated with the least amount of sedation possible to ensure that the experience is safe and comfortable. We use sedation that allows JW Plastic Surgery to maximize your results.
Small incisions, less than a quarter of an inch, are made along the treated areas, a wand-like instrument (cannula) is inserted, and anesthetic is then administered to the area. Undesired fat is removed and your body is contoured to your desired shape.
A plasma wand is used in the areas where the fat has been removed while applying ion energy that creates a “shrink wrap” tightening of the these areas. The skin redrapes smoothly to create a slim surface contour that is an enhanced version of other forms of liposuction.
Liposuction results are noticeable a few weeks after the procedure and once the post-operative swelling subsides. A compression garment will be worn for the first 6 weeks after surgery.

A TIGHT LIPO procedure can range from $4000 to $9500, depending on the number of areas you would like corrected. Often patients who want a tighter stomach but are not willing to consider a tummy tuck find TIGHT LIPO to be an excellent alternative.
Who is a good candidate for tighten liposuction?
A good candidate for liposuction is a person looking to improve their body contour. TIGHT LIPO changes the body contour by removing an unwanted pocket of fat and then creating a tightening effect but it is not a form of weight loss. Good skin tone and elasticity are required for the procedure. The tightening portion of the procedure can address a moderate degree of skin laxity and remove it unlike traditional liposuction techniques. Being in general good health and having reasonable expectations are important for any cosmetic surgery procedure.
How long does tight liposuction take?
The procedure can take between 1-3 hours depending on the number of areas treated.
Can you do this procedure without anesthesia?
This can be discussed with your surgeon and the answer will depend on your goals and your health. Most importantly, you have all options available to you at JW Plastic Surgery which means that the safest choice for you will be selected. Many centers unable to use anesthesia try to sell “awake” liposuction simply because they cannot offer the other service. We will work with you to find a plan that is safe and meets your goals.
What should I expect after tighten liposuction?
TIGHT LIPO requires little recovery time. Many patients are able to have the surgery on a Thursday or Friday and return to work on Monday. There may be some discomfort or “soreness” in the areas that are treated but that usually resolves within a week of the procedure. You will be instructed to wear a compression garment after surgery. Expect to purchase another garment as your size will be reduced a few sizes as swelling resolving and the plasma tightening effect sets in. After your procedure you will be given specific instructions with how to care for the areas post-surgery.
What procedures are often combined with TIGHT LIPO?
TIGHT LIPO is commonly combined with other body and breast procedures. Combining TIGHT LIPO with a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is very popular as it can improve the results of the BBL by up to 30% due to the enhanced body contouring results.
What are some alternatives to TIGHT LIPO?
Traditional liposuction is an alternative to TIGHT LIPO and can be a good option for some patients that already have very tight toned skin areas. Additionally, there are some alternatives to liposuction such as UltraShape or Coolsculpting, but these procedures will not produce the same results as liposuction and cost almost as much. Liposuction is much more reliable and effective from our perspective.
Where will the procedure take place?
JW Plastic Surgery offers patients 10 hospitals and 5 surgical centers to select from when booking their surgery. In some cases, your personal health history will mean that we will recommend a specific health setting that will best meet your needs. Most cosmetic patients decide to have surgery at the Ontario Street Operatory, our practice's Joint Commission-accredited facility, due to price and availability.
What areas of the body can TIGHT LIPO be used on?
It can help with problem areas located in the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, hips, upper arms, flanks, knees, and chin that have not responded well to weight loss treatments. TIGHT LIPO is good for removing fat deposits and improving body contour on almost every part of the body.
Does TIGHT LIPO remove cellulite?
The procedure does not completely remove cellulite as it focuses on the deeper layers of the skin and will not create a significant change on the superficial layers related to cellulite. Patients have reported that the tightening portion of the procedure does seem to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
While many sell lotions and potions for cellulite, JW Plastic Surgery does not offer targeted cellulite treatments. There are several promising solutions on the horizon but we do not have enough data yet to feel comfortable offering the treatments. TIGHT LIPO, however, is not a complete cellulite solution.
Does TIGHT LIPO produce permanent results?
TIGHT LIPO produces permanent results as the fat deposits targeted are removed from the body. In order to maximize your results, patients should maintain or lose weight after the procedure.
What are the risks of TIGHT LIPO?
As with any surgery there is no risk-free procedure. The best way to minimize the risks of surgery is to select an appropriately trained surgeon who uses appropriate sedation in a certified, safe facility. Many practices offer in-office procedures with uncontrolled oral sedation. We do not do this because we do not think it is a safe option. Safety is our first priority at JW Plastic Surgery.
At JW Plastic Surgery, cosmetic surgery is done by Board-certified plastic surgeons and a dedicated anesthetist who manages your sedation. Our facility is Joint Commission-accredited and all procedures, regardless of the level of sedation used, are done in an operating room that is specifically designed for sterility and safety.
Liposuction can help you improve your body contour by removing fat deposits that are resistant to exercise and diet. Imagine shopping for clothing that you like rather than clothing that minimizes your problem areas. TIGHT LIPO is a new form of liposuction that combines power assisted liposuction (PALS) with the latest radio-frequency plasma energy technology to create a tighter contour. Following removal of fatty tissue, the plasma energy then “shrink wraps” the skin so you not only remove the problem areas but achieve a tighter more contoured look.
We’re as invested in your excellent outcome from TIGHT LIPO as you are. Maintaining an active lifestyle and healthy diet is the best way to ensure optimal results from liposuction surgery. If you are getting off track, we will refer you our medical weight loss doctor to help get you back on track. We are invested in your long terms results.
Liposuction is the most popular procedure in our practice because it is a simple surgery that offers major results without much downtime. Most patients only require a few days of downtime. We have dedicated our Friday afternoons to liposuction surgery because patients love the convenience of being able to recover over the weekend.
We offer 6 different liposuction technologies and our plastic surgeons will only use the technology that makes sense for your body type and problem areas. Our custom approach to liposuction reflects our belief that you deserve an individualized approach to your procedure. The TIGHT LIPO procedure was pioneered at JW Plastic Surgery and is now being used as a technique in 3D liposuction to create muscle definition.
