Step 1- Consultation

Complete your consultation with your provider and determine a plan to meet your goals.

Step 2- Filler Injections

Dermal fillers are injected to the areas to be treated.

Step 3- See the Results

Results from dermal fillers are apparent immediately after the treatment. You may have some swelling or bruising for a few days after the injections.

Step 4- Repeat

Repeat treatments every 6-12 months to maintain your results.

Dermal filler is an injectable gel is a nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment. Your healthcare professional eases filler under the skin using a fine needle to augment, or fill, the soft tissue of the dermis-the dense inner layer of skin beneath the epidermis-to add volume and diminish wrinkles and folds. Filler as Injectable Gel is used most effectively for those wrinkles and folds in the lower third of your face, like your "laugh lines," "smile lines" or "parentheses" (nasolabial folds), or "marionette lines" (oral commissures).

With dermal filler, there is minimal recovery or downtime after the procedure. For the first 24 hours following treatment, you should avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and consumption of alcoholic beverages in order to help minimize the risks of temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the treatment sites. After the treatment, some temporary injection-related reactions may occur, including redness, pain, firmness, swelling, and bumps. Studies have shown that these are usually mild to moderate in nature and clear up on their own in 7 days or less. If you experience swelling at the injection site, you can apply an ice pack for a brief period. Your healthcare professional will tell you when makeup may be applied after your treatment.

You should see an immediate improvement in the treatment areas. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, and the results last up to 6 months or more. However, results may vary and correction is temporary. Supplemental "touch up" treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal results.

WHICH FILLER SHOULD I USE?

Tlhe following guidelines are what our master injectors use to train new injectors on when to use one filler type over another.

  • Juvéderm - Juvéderm is a smooth gel filler that can be used to smooth away wrinkles and add volume to creases around the mouth, laugh-lines, smile-lines and cheeks. This injectable gel is comprised of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring element of our skin that decreases as we age. By injecting this gel into trouble areas, Juvéderm  can instantly add volume to many areas in the face that are deficient.  It is also commonly used to plump up the lips.
  • Voluma- Voluma is a smooth gel filler that can be used to replace lost facial volume in the midface and cheeks.  Results last up to two years.  These injectable gels are comprised of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring element of our skin that decreases as we age.
  • Volbella - Volbella is the newest gel filler from the Juvederm family.  This filler is softer and more malleable, making it ideal for more superficial placement in the fine wrinkles of the lips, along the “white roll” edge of the lips and along the tear troughs under the eyes to reduce the appearance of dark circles and undereye bags.  Vobella has been shown to last up to one year.
